Acne for many individuals can affect their daily lifestyle and confidence whether in a personal or professional capacity. While most people who suffer from acne experience the condition when they reach puberty, adult acne can develop as late as your twenties or thirties or even later.
Characterised by blackheads, whiteheads and spots, acne most commonly affects the face but can also develop on the back and chest area. And this may consist of oily skin, increased sebum production clogged pores caused by an overproduction of skin cells, acne-causing bacteria and deep below the surface nodules or painful pus-filled cyst lumps and acne rosacea.
At Glory Edward Wellness Centre we offer facial acne treatment, chest acne treatment and back acne treatment. Our Skincare Professionals combine specialised clinical in-clinic treatments with skincare products to effectively treat acne.
Consultations with a practitioner start at £100.
Blue light therapy is a non-invasive treatment for acne that uses light to kill certain bacteria on the skin. Blue light also appears to be safe, with only mild adverse effects.
It is free from UV rays, and there is no evidence that it increases the risk of skin cancer or skin aging. It's also been shown to help with those who have psoriasis and reduce damage caused by the sun.
This is the favourite for those who have been struggling with Acne and have a hard time with ingredient-based solutions.
Blue light therapy can help clear up acne and treat sun damage and non-melanoma skin cancers.
The procedure is relatively simple and takes less than 30 minutes and simply requires you to sit under a light. For best results, a minimum of 10 sessions is advised.

Eczema (also known as dermatitis) is a non-contagious, inflammatory dry skin condition that can affect people from early infancy to old age. The most common form, atopic eczema, affects 1 in 5 children and 1 in 10 adults in the UK.
The skin is often unbearably itchy – the urge to scratch can be irresistible – and during a flare-up it can also be red, cracked, sore and raw. Alongside the painful physical symptoms, many children and adults experience related sleeplessness, anxiety, depression, and other mental health problems.
Unfortunately, there's no cure for eczema. However, depending on the severity of their condition, many people are able to successfully manage their eczema using topical treatments, prescription medications including injections and pills, lifestyle changes, and other therapies.
